Authorities: Students Safe After Power Line Falls On Bus

PAW PAW, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say students are safe after a power line fell on a school bus in southwestern Michigan.

WOOD-TV and the Kalamazoo Gazette report students were on the bus Monday morning near Paw Paw when the line fell. Van Buren County authorities say crews responded to the bus about 55 miles southwest of Grand Rapids and removed the power line.

Anthony Habra, superintendent for Paw Paw Public Schools, said there were about 13 middle school and high school students on the bus according to MLive.

No one was injured. After the line was removed, authorities say the bus and the students continued on their way.
