By Edward Cardenas
SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Apple is reportedly set to release new emoji which feature a diverse set of skin tones, family composition and nation flags.
The nearly 300 new emoji, which are used by smart phone users to accentuate text messages, are currently in the beta stage of iOS 8.3 and OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 according to Fast Company.
The new update will reportedly allow users to select the skin tone of the emoji from a drop down menu. There are also new family options to reflect LGBT couples, new country flags and even the Apple Watch.
