Anna Gordy Gaye, Former Wife Of Marvin Gaye, Dies At 92

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Anna Gordy Gaye, former wife of the late Marvin Gaye and sister of Motown founder Berry Gordy, Jr, has died at her Los Angeles home. Gordy named one of Motown Records' subsidiaries, Anna, after his sister.

It was on that label that Marvin Gaye recorded his earliest tunes.

The two were married about a decade before divorcing in 1976. Marvin Gaye was shot to death in 1984 by his father in Los Angeles.

Anna Gordy Gaye was 92.

The family didn't reveal the cause of death.
