Ann Arbor police investigating after 1 injured in shooting near Planet Fitness
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - The Ann Arbor Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened near a Planet Fitness gym in the city Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 2300 block of W. Stadium at about 1:05 p.m. on reports of a shooting.
When they arrived at the scene, they discovered a 36-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victim was involved in a physical altercation with a 33-year-old man in the parking lot. The 33-year-old man allegedly pulled out a gun and fired two shots, striking the victim once in the leg. Officials say the two men did not know each other prior to the incident.
Police arrested the suspect at the scene.
