Andre Drummond Named To All-NBA Third Team

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The NBA announced today that Detroit Pistons Center Andre Drummond has been named to the 2016 All-NBA Third Team. Drummond becomes the first Piston to be named to an All-NBA team since Chauncey Billups was a third-team selection in 2006-07, and the first Pistons draft pick since Grant Hill (second team) in 1999-00.

An NBA All-Star for the first time in 2016, Drummond appeared in 81 games and averaged a career-high 16.2 points, career and NBA-high 14.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in a career-high 32.9 minutes per game. He also led the NBA in double-doubles (career-high 66), total rebounds (1,198) and offensive rebounds (395) and became the first Piston to record three consecutive seasons with 1,000-plus points, 1,000-plus rebounds and 100-plus blocks. Drummond also recorded a NBA and career-high five games with 20-plus points and 20-plus rebounds and led the NBA with nine 20-plus rebound games and 30 games with 15-plus points and 15-plus rebounds.
