AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Fall 2 Cents In Last Week To $1.92

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - AAA Michigan reports statewide gas prices have declined by about 2 cents a gallon within the past week.

The auto club says the average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $1.92 on Sunday. That's about $1.36 less than it was a year ago.

It marks the third consecutive week that the statewide average price has remained below $2.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel costs at 2,800 Michigan gas stations. It says the cheapest price was about $1.88 per gallon in the Detroit area, while the highest price was about $1.99 per gallon in the Marquette and Traverse City areas.
