71-Year-Old Downriver Man Charged With Child Sex Abuse
TRENTON (WWJ) - A 71-year-old Trenton man has been arrested on allegations of child sexual abuse.
According to Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, Duane Winquist traveled to a prearranged location where he was caught trying to make contact with a juvenile for sex. Search warrants were executed at his home as well as at his Riverview business.
The charges include Child Sexually Abusive Act (Felony 20 years); Computers – Internet – Communicating with another to Commit Crime (Maximum 15 years or more or life); Child Sexually Abusive Activity (Felony 20 Years and/or $100,000); and Computers-Internet-Communicating with another to Commit Crime (Maximum 15 years or more or life).
Winquist was arraigned on Monday in 41-B District Court in Clinton Township.
Bond was set at $200,000 cash or surety only.
No information has been released about the victim.
An investigation is ongoing.
