56-Year-Old Detroit Man With Schizophrenia Reported Missing After Not Being Heard From Since April

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police in Detroit are searching for a missing 56-year-old man.

Authorities say Leon Durant was last seen on Clements Street in April by a family member.

Cousin Shari Lemonious reported Durant missing and said her family hasn't seen or heard from him in months. Police say Durant's house was locked when they went to check on him.

Durant's cell phone was also recently answered by an unknown female who would not provide any information on his whereabouts.

Durant is on medication for schizophrenia, according to authorities.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
