Thieves Smash Through Detroit Beauty Shop, Steal $50,000 Worth Of Hair
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are investigating an ugly scene at a beauty shop on the city's west side.
The incident unfolded around 4 a.m. Wednesday at AR Virgin Hair on Telegraph Road just south of 7 Mile Road.

Caroline Gillette, who owns the business, told WWJ's Charlie Langton her shop was targeted by thieves.
"They rammed the car through the front of the business and yeah, tore everything up," she said.
After making their way inside, the crooks gathered the shop's entire inventory of hair before fleeing the scene.
"Hair bundles were stolen and hair extensions," said Gillette, who estimated the loss around $50,000.
