45-Year-Old Woman Killed On Lodge In Suspected Drunken Driving Crash
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Drunken driving is suspected in a crash that left one woman dead on the Lodge Freeway over the weekend.
According to Michigan State Police, the driver of a 2014 Cadillac was traveling north on M-10 in the center lane when she lost control and struck the left median wall.
It happened at 6:10 p.m. Saturday on the northbound side of the freeway, near I-696, in Southfield.
Witnesses on the scene told police the car was moving at high rate of speed when it struck the wall — causing the vehicle to roll several times.
The driver — identified by police as 45-year-old Crystal Lynette Duncan of Farmington Hills — was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was in the car and no one else was hurt in the accident.
Police said an initial investigation indicates that both alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash.
