35 Counts Including Child Sexual Abuse Filed Against 67-Year-Old Man
TAYLOR (WWJ) - A 67-year-old Taylor man is facing nearly three dozen counts of sexual assaults against several young girls.
Bennie Ray Grimes is charged with 35 counts, including first and second degree sexual misconduct along with child sexual abuse and using computers to commit crimes.
Taylor police said they started investigating Grimes after being contacted by Melvindale police on April 7 about an alleged sexual assault of a minor.
According to police, Grimes is accused of sexually assaulting, videotaping and photographing various sexual acts with four girls ranging in age from 13 to 15.
Grimes was remanded without bond. He's due back in 23rd District Court for a preliminary exam on April 21.
