25-Year-Old Northville Woman Who Disappeared Overnight Found Safe

NORTHVILLE (WWJ) - Police say a Northville woman who disappeared from her relatives' home overnight has been located.

Dara Slater, 25, was last seen at 11 p.m. om Wednesday, Dec. 7. at the home of her aunt and uncle on Fairbrook Street in Northville.

She was supposed to stay over, police said — but at around 5:30 a.m. the next day her uncle discovered that she'd left at some point during the night. Her jacket and footwear were still at the house and there was no note or other indication as to why she left.

A K-9 team was brought in to search the area, but did not locate Slater.

He photo was released, and police asked the public for tips — although they said foul play was not suspected.

Police said Slater was "found safe" Thursday afternoon and is "doing OK." No details have been released about where she went or why.
