2-year-old boy shot outside of Lansing gas station, police say
LANSING, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - Police say a 2-year-old is hospitalized Tuesday after he was shot outside of a gas station in Lansing.
The shooting happened at about 3:04 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the 3000 block of Dunkel Road. The 2-year-old was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Lansing police say the child was in the car with an unsecured gun. Police believe the child was alone and had unsupervised access to the firearm.
One person, 44, fled the area but was later found and taken into custody.
