19-Year-Old Ypsilanti Twp. Man Found Fatally Shot In Front Yard
AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A murder investigation is underway after a 19-year-old man was found dead outside a Washtenaw County home.
Michigan State Police say they responded to a call at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday about a body lying in a front yard in the 5400 block of Willis Road in Augusta Township.
The victim has been identified as Zachary James Currie from Ypsilanti Township, according to police, who said the young man had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.
There had been no arrests in the case as of Monday morning, and police have not talked about a possible motive for the killing.
