13-Year-Old Girl Hit By Car On 8 Mile Road
WARREN (WWJ) - A 13-year-old girl is in critical condition after she was hit by a car in Warren.
Warren police say the teen was on foot when she was struck on westbound 8 Mile Road at Ryan Road. She was taken by EMS to a local hospital.
Eight Mile was closed completely at the scene, but the right lane had reopened to traffic by 3:45 p.m.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault in the accident. The driver, who told police he or she did not see the girl, did stop at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators.
The girl's name has not been released. No one else was injured.
Police remain on the scene while an investigation continues.
