1 Man Injured In Shooting Near Family Dollar In Oak Park Area
DETROIT (WWJ) - A shooting outside of a Family Dollar store on Wednesday evening has injured one man according to police.
Authorities are telling WWJ Newsradio 950 that the shooting took place in the alley next to the store on Wyoming Street, just north of Eight Mile, on the border of Oak Park and Royal Oak.
First Lieutenant Mike Shaw says the suspect is a black male and is still at-large. Officials hope a canvassing of the neighborhood will lead to the individual's arrest.
Shaw says this was not a robbery and the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information should call police.
