Yampa Valley Airport Closed For Major Repairs
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- The Yampa Valley Regional Airport near Steamboat Springs will be closed for the next two months for a major improvement project.
Crews will resurface the runway and add 25 foot shoulders which will make it easier for snowplows to clear snow.
The renovations will also include installations of new LED lights to save energy.
The Federal Aviation Administration is paying for most of the $16 million project.
