Crews Quickly Gain Upper Hand On Fire That Threatened Structures

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters rushed to put out a fire near Chatfield Reservoir in Chatfield State Park on Tuesday afternoon that was threatening structures.

Firefighters quickly gained control of the fire that was threatening structures near Roxborough Park Road and Romona Avenue.

South Metro Fire Rescue tweeted out an update on the situation.

Strong winds fueled the fire that was burning in open space between homes and outbuildings in the area of Romona Avenue and Wagonwheel Drive and North Rampart Lane and Roxborough Park Road.

No one was injured.

What caused the fire is unknown.
