Wildfire At Fort Carson Grows To 700 Acres
FORT CARSON, Colo. (CBS4) - A wildfire has burned 700 acres at Fort Carson.
Crews were using a helicopter to drop water on the flames on Thursday but the smoke was visible across the southern part of the state.
Lightning was thought to be the cause of the fire. It's in the middle of the training area at the military base just south of Colorado Springs.
No structures are threatened by the fire.
