Where's Waldo? He's Running To Raise Money To Support Waldo Canyon

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - On Saturday people in Colorado Springs answered the age old question -- "where's Waldo?"

Thousands of Waldos sported the iconic red and white striped outfits at the fourth annual Waldo Waldo 5K. Money raised from the run benefits local charities that support restoration projects after the Waldo Canyon Fire in 2012.

"We're all here today because we care about our community and wanted to give back to where we live and work," a participant said.

"Underlying it all there's a somewhat serious cause because the money raised today is going to support some of the very trails people love," another participant said. "It's going to support work in the Waldo Canyon, it's going to support all kinds of stewardship efforts throughout the region."

The Walso Canyon Fire was the most destructive fire in Colorado's history. The fire torched 486 homes and resulted in more than $450 million in insurance claims.
