The suspect later crashed into two vehicles. A man and woman were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police say the suspect then ran from the scene into a fenced-in area of a tire store.

Officers reportedly heard gunshots from the area. Police found the suspect trying to climb over a fence into a neighboring residential area. One officer deployed his Taser.

Two officers from Westminster, one officer from Thornton and one from Federal Heights fired their weapons.

Officials say the Federal Heights officer was the only one who wore a body camera.

The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun, but it's unclear if he fired at officers. No officers were hurt.

The shooting is under investigation by the 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Investigation Team.
