Water Main Break Turns Into Geyser Near Alameda Avenue
DENVER (CBS4) - A water main break sent a geyser of water shooting into the air near the Fairmount Cemetery. The break happened in Denver near Alameda Avenue and Quebec Street.
Denver Water officials say a business was digging and hit the pipe by mistake. A 12-inch water main broke and was shut off.
Two businesses are without water temporarily. Officials say a business for tombstones which is part of the cemetery is out of water, but the rest of the property is okay.
One lane of Alameda going east is closed for repairs.
