Visitor Center At Rocky Mountain Arsenal Renamed To Honor Pat Schroeder

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado lawmakers honored former Colorado congresswoman Pat Schroeder at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wednesday morning.

Reps. Diana DeGette, Ed Perlmutter and Jared Polis unveiled the newly renamed Pat Schroeder Visitor Center.

During her time in Congress Schroeder helped start a major environmental cleanup at the arsenal and established the land as a wildlife refuge.

The Rocky Mountain Arsenal is now one of the largest urban wildlife refuges in the country.
