Troy Tulowitzki Named NL Player Of The Month

DENVER (CBS4) - Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has been named NL Player of the Month.

Tulowitzki has been hot all season so far, and stayed so in the three games he played in against the Mets in the Rockies most recent series.

He had three more hits in Saturday's 11-10 win over the Mets and then was given a day off on Sunday. He has gone 13 for 21 with two homers and eight RBIs over the last six games.

Tulo's batting average is currently a league-leading .400 and he's among the league leaders in RBIs with 25.

"I'm waiting for the market correction, because Tulo can't keep batting over .500 at Coors Field," said CBS4's Tom Helmer.
