Ban On Topless Women In Fort Collins Won't Go To Supreme Court

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- The City of Fort Collins will not take its ban on women going topless to the Supreme Court. Activists sued the city in 2006, claiming laws that allow men to go topless and not women is discriminatory.

The case made it all the way to a federal court of appeals, which agreed with those who filed the lawsuit.

Fort Collins no longer enforces the ban.

On Tuesday, Fort Collins City Council members voted to not pursue the case any further.
