Toe Fire Burning Near Four Corners In SW Colorado

FOUR CORNERS, Colo. (CBS4)- The Toe Fire had burned about 400 acres near the Four Corners in southwestern Colorado by Friday afternoon.

The fire calmed down a little overnight into Friday but could flare up again. The forecast calls for more monsoon moisture in the area over the weekend.

The fire is burning on the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Reservation. The fire got its name because the mountain is called the Sleeping Ute and it looks like the toe of that sleeping Ute.

No homes or property are threatened.
