Telluride Puts Affordable Housing Tax Issue Before Voters
TELLURIDE, Colo. (CBS4)- The Town of Telluride is considering increasing taxes to fund more affordable housing.
After a heated debate, the town council voted to put the question to increase property taxes before voters.
They also considered setting a proposal for voters which would raise a two-and-a-half percent vacation rental tax to pay for affordable housing, but council instead put a .005 percent sales on use tax question on the ballot.
