Team Effort Used To Help Rescue Cow Stuck In The Mud

FORT LUPTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters, farmers and neighbors all helped rescue a cow in Fort Lupton on Wednesday.

The cow got stuck in mud at a farm located near County Roads 8 and 19.

"The cow was too weak to get up on her own and we are not sure how long she had been stuck in the mud," Fort Lupton Fire Chief Phil Tiffany said in a statement. "They used a backhoe from a neighbor … and we assisted them in lifting the cow out of the mud."

A veterinarian evaluated the cow to make sure she was going to be okay.
