SWAT Team Finds Body After Thornton Standoff

THORNTON, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have found a man's body inside a Thornton apartment where a suspect in the deaths of two women was believed to be hiding.

A SWAT team surrounded the apartment in on Friday night after a daylong manhunt for 37-year-old Cimmeron Johns. He is suspected in the disappearance and deaths of his 36-year-old estranged wife, Alisha Johns, and her 56-year-old mother, Sherri Pachello.

The Weld County Sheriff's Department said that two bodies found south of Frederick on Friday were the missing women.

Authorities haven't released the name of the man who was found dead after the standoff.

Investigators believe the women were kidnapped Thursday after Alisha Johns went to visit her husband at his Fredrick home, and her mother went to pick her up.
