Suspects In Wild Chase In West Denver Face Numerous Charges

EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4) - Four people who are suspected in a bank robbery and a police chase on Wednesday are scheduled to be in court next week.

During the day on Wednesday four suspected bank robbers led police on a wild high-speed chase from Edgewater into west Denver, crashed into cars -- including a police cruiser -- and ran off before being captured by police.

Police said the TCF Bank in Edgewater was robbed.

The following four men face charges in the crime:

Chavez, 24, of Wheat Ridge, tentatively faces aggravated robbery charges.

Salazar, 23, of Denver, tentatively faces first degree criminal trespass charges.

Marquez, 19, of Denver, tentatively faces aggravated robbery and vehicle eluding charges.

Valdez, 19, of Arvada, tentatively faces second degree criminal trespass and obstructing a police officer charges.

Two people -- a woman and a child -- suffered minor injuries in one of the crashes during the chase. Several of the suspects also sustained minor injuries.
