Suspect In Hit & Run At Killed 11-Year-Old Boy Pleads Not Guilty

DENVER (CBS4) - The suspect in a fatal hit-and-run on Federal Boulevard has pleaded not guilty.

Oswaldo Lopez has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident in connection with the hit-and-run that killed 11-year-old Michael Espinoza in February.

Lopez's attorney said he is in negotiations with the Denver District Attorney's Office.

In an interview from jail Lopez told CBS4's Jennifer Brice he was street racing when he hit the boy.
