Summit County Man Accused Of Slashing Teen Girl's Throat Faces Life In Prison

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - The man accused of attacking three young girls in a Colorado resort town learned Monday he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Sky Wodraska, 37, now faces formal charges including attempted murder, child abuse and kidnapping. He's accused of trying to slash a 14-year-old's throat and also attacking two younger girls.

The first time Sky Wodraska appeared in court last week his wrists were bandaged and he kept his eyes to the ground. In Monday's appearance he was without wrist bandages, and instead of staring at the ground, he only looked forward toward the judge.

The case has remained sealed, so it's not clear exactly what happened on March 7. But the list of charges indicate Wodraska was once again harassing his ex-girlfriend's daughter.

The main victim of the attack at the Great Divide Condominiums in Breckenridge suffered a slashed throat. Wodraska has other Summit County cases including inappropriately touching the girl and continuing to verbally harass her after she reported the sexual assault.

The list of crimes also says Wodraska bound the young girls and forced them into other areas of the apartment where the attack happened.

One charge issued Monday is for retaliation against a witness or victim. There was a case of witness intimidation with the same victims. The court released those documents and it shows Wodraska was charged with 11 felonies, but pleaded guilty to only one count and got a deferred sentence.

The district attorney has admitted the system failed the victims, but the long list of charges shows he's taking this violent case very seriously.
