New Storage Units Benefit The Homeless
DENVER (CBS4) - Storage units now sit on the sidewalk along Lawrence Street and Park Avenue West in downtown Denver.
The storage units will be there for the homeless to use.
The city says not having a safe space to store things can be a barrier to getting a good job.
To be eligible to use a storage unit, a person must have a shelter identity and show they are willing to sign up for job training.
The units are available for 30 days with a chance to extend that to 60 if needed.
