Southwest Plaza Mall Makeover Nearly Complete
LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- The Southwest Plaza Mall in Littleton is getting ready to show off its new look. The mall is nearly ready for its big reveal after $75 million worth of renovations.
CBS4 got a sneak peek of the changes on Tuesday. There will be 21 new stores and restaurants added to the mall including H&M and Cheesecake Factory.
The renovations and new businesses are expected to bring Southwest Plaza back as a destination shopping center.
"We kind of lost our edge a little bit but I think we found it and then some by adding that food component, the amenities that are coming in and the stores that are coming back. It's pretty darn exciting," said Senior General Manager Greg Sims.
The mall's five anchor stores, Sears, JCPenney, Dillards, Dick's Sporting Goods and Macy's remained open during the work.
