Snowboarder Who Died After Snowmass Jump Attempt Identified

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 20-year-old snowboarder who died after attempting a jump in a terrain park at Snowmass in western Colorado. The Pitkin County Coroner's Office identified Tyler Hamm of Snowmass Village on Monday.

The Aspen Times reports that Hamm crashed Sunday morning while trying to jump at the Makaha Terrain Park.

Aspen Skiing Co. spokesman Jeff Hanle has said ski patrollers found Hamm unresponsive with no pulse and were not able to revive him.

The cause and manner of Hamm's death still are being investigated.
