Liquor store owner shot after window smashed with a rock near Denver city limits

The owner of a liquor store was shot and injured outside OK Discount Liquors located near South Parker Road and Florida Avenue. It happened on Wednesday just after 6 a.m.

The store's address is 1422 South Parker Road, which is on the border between Denver and unincorporated Arapahoe County. Investigators said someone threw a rock at a window and shattered the glass. That's when the owner came outside and was shot in the leg. 

The owner returned fire and was rushed to the hospital. 

Arapahoe County Sheriff's deputies are searching for three suspects who took off in a red vehicle.
