Search & Rescue Teams Find Missing 3 Teenage Hikers

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office helped the Alpine Rescue Team search for three overdue teenage hikers on Saturday.

About two hours after officials announced two females and a male disappeared, teams found all three in good health.

The teenagers set out on a hike on the Goose Creek Trail. They were expected to be picked up at the Wigwam Trail on Friday, but they never showed up.

Officials say one of the girls is an experienced backpacker, but all of them had appropriate gear and food and were dressed for the hike.

Officials say the hikers got lost.
