Santa Claus Makes 'Virtual' Visit To Young Patients In Hospital

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - The holidays can be a tough time for young patients in the hospital as many times they are too sick to visit Santa Claus.

On Monday Santa made a virtual visit to Children's Hospital Colorado.

Saint Nick called the hospital via video phone all the way from the North Pole. That allowed children like Colton Orth a chance to pass along their wish lists.

"I asked for a big Lego set," Colton said.

"We don't get to do a whole lot of things, we're kind of stuck in the room right now -- and it's nice," Colton's mother Cathy Orth said. "It's really nice when people come and interact with him. It makes him feel a lot better."

Santa is going to make virtual visits to about 50 hospitals all over the country.
