New video shows the RTD light rail derailment that left several people injured

New HALO video shows the moment an RTD light rail car derailed from the tracks in Aurora.

The footage shows the car approaching a turn at a high speed before it separates from the track and goes into the road.

Of the 24 people that were on board, three people were hurt. They were taken to local hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

RTD was running shuttle buses for the R line after one of the light rail trains derailed Wednesday afternoon in Aurora.

The car has since been removed from the road but the investigation into what happened remains ongoing.
