Rockfall keeps Wolf Creek Pass down to 1 lane, delays expected

A rockfall forced the closure of Wolf Creek Pass on Monday morning. The closure put in place at 9 a.m. near mile marker 162 was reopened to one lane of alternating traffic about two-and-a-half hours later. 

The Colorado Department of Transportation responded to the rockslide that was blocking all lanes of travel on Highway 160 between Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek Pass summit.

The one lane of alternating traffic will be in place while crews continue to clear rockfall debris. 

Drivers are urged to plan for lengthy delays while crews work to clear the debris.
