RNC Launches Interactive Poll To Vote For Convention City

DENVER (CBS4) – Denver is one of eight cities hoping to host the 2016 Republican National Convention, and now the Republican National Committee has launched an interactive poll allowing people to vote for their favorite city.

"The top results will be shared with the RNC's Site Selection Committee as they continue the process of narrowing down the finalists for the 2016 Republican National Convention," RNC spokesman Ryan Mahoney said in a statement.

Colorado leaders on Monday were in the nation's capital to make their pitch to party leaders in person to try to attract the 2016 Republican National Convention to Denver. Presentations from Dallas, Las Vegas and Cincinnati were postponed due to weather. They have been rescheduled for March 21.

Because Bob Beauprez is now running for governor, Pete Coors is now the chairman of the Denver 2016 Host Committee.
