Restaurant Owner Says Armed Robber Was A Regular

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Aurora are asking for the public's help in finding the two men who robbed a Mexican restaurant earlier this summer.

Jesus Garza, owner of Los Dos Tarascos, told CBS4 on Thursday the men pointed guns at his head during the crime. They took $800 from the cash register and ran away and so far haven't been located.

The crime happened on June 25 in the middle of the day at the restaurant, located at 12507 East Mississippi Avenue. The restaurant's surveillance cameras captured video of the men with guns in the store.

Garza said the men were screaming at the few people in the restaurant at the time.

"One of them grabbed me by the neck, pointed the gun at my head, starting saying where's the money, where's the money or I'm going to shoot you," Garza said through a translator.

"I really thought he was going to kill me, shoot me, because they seemed to be really angry," he said. "I was really scared."

Garza said he recognized one of the men. He said he was a regular customer at the store.

"I just want to say that I hope they really catch them. I pray to the lord that they catch them soon," Garza said.
