Protesters Gather At State Capitol To Call For Peace In Crimea
DENVER (CBS4) – A few dozen people gathered on the steps of the state capitol to call for peace in Crimea on Sunday.
They waved Ukrainian flags and carried signs urging democracy and getting Russian troops out of the region.
They say what happens in Crimea impacts our nation.
"The big problem is the United States wants to stop nuclear proliferations around the world. The United States wants there to be peace around the world. Ukraine is very important in that, because the territorial integrity in Ukraine has been violated," said protester Ihor Figlus.
