Prairie Dog Activists Complain About Animals In Traps

LAFAYETTE, Colo. (CBS4) - Prairie dog activists in Lafayette worked together to get a colony released from traps.

The city started trapping the animals because they were getting too close to water pipes.

Recently, activists complained the prairie dogs were left in cages in the scorching heat.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports after receiving several complaints, the city released the animals.
