Police searching for homicide suspect tell Arvada residents to stay indoors

Residents in the area of Estes Street and West 63rd Avenue have been asked to stay indoors as officers from the Arvada Police Department search for a suspect who may be armed.
The department posted its warning on social media at 11:03 a.m.
An Arvada PD spokesperson has told CBS News Colorado that the wanted man is a homicide suspect who fled from Westminster into Arvada.
"This incident is related to a shooting earlier today on the 9800 block of Westcliff Pkwy in Westminster," Arvada PD said. "We believe the suspect may be in an apartment on 62nd Ave between Estes and Dover. Still advising nearby residents to shelter in place."
No description of the suspect has been provided.
Westminster PD also said it's working with Arvada to locate the suspect.
Around 2 p.m., a Jefferson County SWAT team was seen arriving at the area of West 62nd Place and Dover Street.
