Police Chase, Arrest 2 Bank Robbery Suspects

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Two men suspected in an armed bank robbery in Aurora were arrested Friday morning after a short police chase.

The bank robbery happened at 9:20 a.m. at the TCF Bank at the intersection of East 6th Avenue and Chambers Road.

Police said witnesses told them two black males who were responsible left the bank in a vehicle.

Officers spotted the vehicle nearby and tried to conduct a traffic stop. The driver sped off, and a short police chase took place. It ended at the Friendly Village of Aurora mobile home park at the intersection of Colfax Boulevard and North Airport Boulevard.

There were two people in the car. Police arrested one there, and the other was arrested shortly after trying to run away.

Police said one of the suspects was hit by a patrol car during the incident and but they didn't sustain serious injuries.
