Police Call Man's Disappearance Suspicious
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Golden have teamed up with investigators in Alamosa to search for a California man who disappeared under suspicious circumstances. Police found his RV after it was claimed by a man involved in a shootout with officers.
John Cizek, 71, was last seen at the McDonald's restaurant in Alamosa on June 12. He was traveling in a 2016 Minnie Winnie Winnebago.
That same day, David Little was believed to have been in the southern Colorado town.
Officers in Golden tried to arrest Little on a child sex assault warrant when they were fired upon in Edgewater on June 21. They returned fire and wounded Little.
Little remains in custody. He asked officers to retrieve his dog from his RV. Officers discovered the RV parked in Golden. It belonged to Cizek.
Cizek is described as a white male, 6-foot-3, 220 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.
Cizek had come to Colorado from California and told friends that he was planning to pan for gold at 10,000 feet altitude.
