Police Arrest 2 Suspects After Hit & Run With Officer's SUV

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver arrested a man and woman who ran away after crashing into a police SUV.

The crash happened about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday on the east side of Sloan's Lake at 19th and Meade. The officer wasn't hurt but the SUV had some minor front end damage.

The suspect vehicle, a stolen Toyota Matrix, struck the Ford Expedition used by Denver Police Safe Streets Unit and stopped near a tree in one front lawn. The man and woman inside the vehicle ran away.

Officer caught up to them near 22nd and Quitman about 15 minutes later and took them into custody.
