Pickup Plows Into Colorado Convention Center

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police believe alcohol was a factor when a pickup truck drove into the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver Monday night.

According to police, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the pickup was most likely driving the correct way down California Street, crossed 14th Street, took out a tree and drove through the convention center's glass doorways into the lobby area.

Two people were going up the stairs about to leave the convention center. They got hit by flying glass and were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries isn't known.

The driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

The name of the driver and the names of the victims have not been released.
