Pedestrian Killed In Crash With Jeep Near I-25

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies in Weld County continue to investigate a collision between a Jeep and pedestrian that left one person dead.

The crash happened around 5:20 a.m. Friday on the west frontage road near Colorado Highway 52 along Interstate 25.

The 53-year-old driver of a 2001 green Jeep Wrangler struck a man, later identified as James Lutton III, 50, of Thornton, on the frontage road. That person did not survive.

Authorities have not released details on possible charges in the case.
